In early 2020 we set out to create our idea of the best neighbourhood restaurant.

A warm space that feels like being at a dinner party, tables chatting to one another, piled in, everyone welcome.

We found our place in the Old Brewery Yard, nestled in next to two lively bars with tables spilling out over the cobbles in the summer months. Serving simple food made with the best Cornish ingredients.

On the ever-rotating menu you’ll find familiar British classics with just a little bit of decadence. Retired Dairy beef reared in a neighbouring village, yuzus, December lemons & bi-catch of blue fin tuna, all from the magic Cornish pantry.

Our kitchen is run by Angus Bell who began his career at The Star Inn at Harome, a Michelin starred pub in North Yorkshire. He then went on to train in London at Le Gavroche under Michel Roux Jr before becoming a founding partner in the casual restaurant group Le Bab.

Angus always dreamed of one day opening his own neighbourhood local, cooking thoughtful food in a laidback environment.

Our wine list like the menu is short but sweet, curated to compliment the food & ranging from the classics to the more unusual.

Whether you’re joining us for snacks & a tipple in the courtyard, a casual dinner or a lively celebration we look forward to welcoming you to Mine.
